Roundtrip of Bulgaria

Varna- Veliko Tarnovo -Gabrovo-Kazanlak-Koprivshtica-Sofia-Rila monastery-Bansko-Plovdiv-Nessebar-Albena-Varna

First day:        Varna Airport – Varna

Arrival at Varna airport. Dinner and overnight in Varna.

Second day:    Varna – Veliko Tarnovo – Gabrovo

After breakfast departure to Gabrovo. On the way stopover at village Arbanassi, sightseeing tour of the village – museum visiting the Konstanzaliev house and some of the monasteries.  Lunch. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo – the capital of the Second Bulgarian State /1187-1393/, the town with the most glorious historical past in Bulgaria, a symbol of the Bulgarian nationhood and a source of national pride. Visit to the Drajnovo monastery. Dinner and overnight in Gabrovo.


Third day:       Gabrovo – Kazanlak  – Koprivshtiza

Visit to the open – air museum “Etara” , where workshops of the old Bulgarian handicrafts from the 18th  and 19th century could be seen . The drive continues through  the Balkan mountains, visit to the Shipka church. Arrival in Kazanlak, located in the center of the Valley of the Roses. Visit to the Ethnographical museum with tasting of rose oil. Lunch. Departure to Koprivshtiza, a town – museum with a marvellous architecture from the period of the Revival period. Walk through the town Dinner and overnight there.


Fourth day:     Koprivshtiza – Sofia

Departure to Sofia. Sightseeing tour of the capital – visit to the “St. Alexander Nevski” Cathedral, the rotonde “St. George”, the churches “St. Nikola” and “St. Sophia”. Lunch. Free time. Dinner and overnight in Sofia.


Fifth day:        Sofia – Rila monastery – Bansko

After breakfast departure to Rila monastery – the most outstanding monument of the Bulgarian culture and architecture of the Revival period, visit to the monastery complex, lunch. Drive to Bansko – the entrance to the most beautiful Bulgarian mountain – Pirin – and one of the biggest winter resorts in the country. Walk through the small town preserved the original Dinner and overnight in Bansko.


Sixth day:       Bansko – Plovdiv

After breakfast departure to Plovdiv – the second Bulgarian city in population, size and sinifficance, after the capital Sofia. Lunch. Sightseeing tour of “The old town of Plovdiv”, which attracts visitors from all over the world. Visit to the most interesting places – the ancient amphitheatre, built up by Emperor Mark Avreli during the I century, the best – preserved amphitheatre in Bulgaria. Dinner and overnight in Plovdiv.


Seventh day:   Plovdiv – Nessebar – Albena

After breakfast drive to Nessebar. Walk through the old town visiting some of the churches. Lunch. Departure to Albena. Dinner and overnight in Albena.


Eight day:       Transfer to the Varna airport.
